Our Story
The Huntington Music Collective was born from a simple yet powerful idea: music has the power to heal, connect, and uplift. Founded by passionate musicians and community members, HMC was created to provide a safe, inclusive, and creative space where music lovers of all ages and backgrounds could come together to learn, perform, and grow.
Huntington, like much of the Appalachian region, faces unique challenges. The struggles of addiction, poverty, and limited access to the arts can make creative opportunities feel out of reach for many. But music has always been a source of resilience here— a voice for those who feel unheard, a light in difficult times, and a force that brings people together.
As a collective, we invite you to join us on our mission to ensure that music remains accessible to everyone, everywhere. We believe that no matter who you are, or where you’re from, you deserve a place to belong.
Our Mission
The Huntington Music Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and creative space for musicians and music lovers of all ages. Our mission is to empower individuals through music by providing opportunities for learning, performance, and collaboration.
We recognize the challenges our community faces, including addiction and poverty throughout the Appalachian region. We believe in the power of music as a force for healing, connection, and resilience. By providing accessible music experiences, we strive to offer a positive outlet for self-expression and personal growth.
The Huntington Music Collective is more than just an organization— it’s a movement fueled by the belief that music can change lives. Whether you're looking to learn, perform, or simply be part of a community that values creativity and inclusivity, there’s a place for you here.
Together, we can uplift, inspire, and create meaningful change— one song, one performance, and one connection at a time.
